chevron_right Utilities & Services chevron_right Waste & RecyclingThe MMA helps facilitate several food recovery and diversion programs for market users, including collections points for donations to FareShare (next to rear of Store 6) and FoodBank (next to rear of Store 148). Organic produce that is fit for human consumption can be donated Monday to Friday from 6.30 am until 9.00 am and is tax deductible at the Market price of the produce. For questions relating to donations, please contact Fareshare or Foodbank.
Zoos Victoria and other local farmers also collect donations for animal feed. Produce not collected through these measures may be used as part of our partnership with Yarra Valley Water’s Waste to Energy Plant.
