Paul Guerra appointed Chair of the Melbourne Market Authority

The Melbourne Market Authority (MMA) is pleased to share the Victorian Government's announcement of the appointment of Paul Guerra as Chair of the MMA, following a competitive recruitment process.

Mr Guerra brings significant commercial, governance and stakeholder engagement experience to the role.

"The Melbourne Market is a significant part of Victoria's fresh produce industry, and I am committed to supporting the market and its users in my role as Chair of the Melbourne Market Authority," Mr Guerra said.

Mr Guerra also has a personal connection to the Melbourne Market, with both of his grandfathers having supplied the market with produce from their market gardens in Shepparton and Silvan.

His previous role as Chair of Queen Victoria Market provides experience in the governance and operation of a major fresh produce market precinct.

As Chair of the MMA, Mr Guerra will play a key role in supporting the governance, strategic direction and ongoing development of the Melbourne Market.
