Last week, the MMA hosted a market tour of about 30 people as part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival's Special Events Program. Participating in the festival, even on this smaller scale, means the Melbourne Market is put in front of the Festival's engaged audience of hospitality, food and drink industry workers and enthusiasts.
Tickets to the Melbourne Market tour were open to the general public and sold out in the first week. Guests who were lucky enough to get a ticket were introduced to market users from the National Flower Centre, Trading Floor, Buyers Walk and Fruit and Vegetable buyer groups before enjoying a catered breakfast. We received great feedback from the visitors and want to thank the market users who took time from their day to speak with the tour groups
